[BAWD #65] Effective listening and State of Web Perf
Hello there 👋🏾,
I trust you had a blissful last week? Sorry, I’m late again. Btw here’s a friendly reminder that being a good friend or support system to someone is more about listening hard and asking the right questions than solving their problems. According to Wikipedia, “When listening, one is hearing what others are saying, and trying to understand what it means.” Unfortunately, many of us only hear and leave out the other part of the process, making listening incomplete and unsuccessful. The act of listening involves complex affective, cognitive, and behavioral processes that can be learned and improved on. It would help if we all invest in learning more about listening and active listening skills to strengthen our relationships and communication.
